Today was the last of our “40 Days of Growth” meetings in our NuBranch group, but not the end of our commitment to what we have learned and our journaling. Now it is up to me to start “sowing bountifully” and hopefully “reaping bountifully”. I am still unsure of myself as to how to proceed to do what I have been challenged to do but am willing to try. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day and my attitude daily will be “I will never look for anything. What God throws my way comes. I will wake up in the morning and whichever way God turns my feet, I go.”……. “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

I was asked this question in our meeting this morning, "What are some ways God has been using you?' The first word that came to my mind was comfort. I realized that my main focus for the past two weeks has been caught up in comforting a friend in her grief. I know that God directed me in that direction while the need was so great. "Even though I walk through the darkest valley; I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

I know that I heard God speaking to me last week and urging me to do something out of my comfort zone. When I did what I was sure He was telling me to do, I felt a peace and calmness about the situation that I hadn't felt for several days. I don't always know when He is speaking to me but today in our meeting I learned a little bit more how to tell when it is God speaking to me. I have so much to learn. "For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. O that today you would listen to His voice." Psalm 95:7

We sang a song the other night including a phrase, "out of the castle, into the field." I have a picture of being released, freed, and sent from a place of bondage or isolation to take the message of Jesus Life to others. I believe I hear God saying, "you are free to live and invite others to life!" John 1
