To develop followers of Jesus by preparing servant leaders through adventure and service opportunities in authentic community.
Exploring God's CreationPsalm 24.1-2 The earth is the LORD’S and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.
The adventure component of Journey Ministries provides adventure sport opportunities to young people, allowing them to challenge themselves, grow together and learn to appreciate and stand in awe of the God of all creation. Activities include: surfing, kayaking, rock climbing, backpacking, canyoneering, and hiking
Serving Our CommunityMatthew 23.11 The greatest among you will be your servant.
The service aspect of Journey Ministries offers organized service opportunities,
encouraging young people to work together to help meet the needs in the community. Churches, small groups, and youth groups that are looking for opportunities to serve would be able to contact Journey, who would connect them to a need.
Becoming Like ChristRomans 8.29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.
Journey Ministries provides a place for young people to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, fellowship in close community, and live out authentic love for others. Life is definitely a journey. Our goal is be to develop servant leaders who truly seek to live for the Kingdom of God. This would be accomplished through discipleship camps tailored for your individual group.
JOURNEY just wrapped up two weeks of summer adventure day camps. What an amazing two weeks they were! Each day was packed with tiring fun, relationships were built, and God's Word was planted. I praise God for the great things He is doing in lives. I know He is working, continuing to draw these young people to Himself.
I don’t know about you, but I grew up going to church my whole life. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know John 3:16. In fact, sometimes I just take it for granted that everyone knows that Bible verse.
A few weeks ago I asked one of our volunteer leaders (Lang) to share during one of our after school group outings. We were mountain biking at a local trail. When we got... [more]

Discipleship is a process. It’s a life-long pursuit following Jesus. When I look back on my life, I see how God has placed a great number of people in my path to help encourage me in my walk... [more]

We had a group of 17 from Colorado and South Dakota come for a five day adventure and service trip. The group was from Impact edVentures, which seeks to teach youth to serve in different places around the world.
God truly blessed us with amazing weather, and a safe and adventurous time together. Here is a rundown of some... [more]

"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people." - Matthew 4:23
The other day April and I were out on a very rare and much appreciated date night (thank you babysitter friend!) While we were walking through Paseo Nuevo Mall, April decided she wanted to try on sunglasses at one of the stores. As we... [more]
Written: June 15, 2011 - - Well... truly it has been an amazing last few months. Things definitely don't always go as planned, and this year for us has shown that. Elias was supposed to be born just a few weeks ago, but he's already almost three months old. During my spring break, Ape went into the doc for a routine check. The doctor measured her and thought she was not quite as big as... [more]
